President Parivartan, Ms. Romi Sharma, was invited as a Guest Speaker at a prestigious one-day academic seminar on “Faith, Tradition, and Nature: The Heritage of the Hill Communities of Jammu & Kashmir.”

The seminar was jointly organized by the Indira Gandhi National Centre for the Arts (IGNCA), Regional Centre Jammu & Kashmir, and the Sadguru Baba Kashi Giri Ji Charitable Trust, Banpuri Sunderbani.

Ms. Sharma shared insights on the rich cultural legacy, spiritual traditions, and ecological wisdom of the hill communities of Jammu & Kashmir. Her address highlighted the importance of preserving indigenous heritage, documenting oral histories, and empowering local communities through awareness and cultural engagement.

The event brought together scholars, cultural practitioners, social leaders, and heritage enthusiasts to discuss how faith, tradition, and nature are deeply interwoven in the region’s identity.
