Insaaniyat (Delhi Riots 2020)

Assistance by Parivartan to victims of Riots.

During last week of February 2020, there were unfortunate communal clashes in North East Delhi. Many victims were left without a roof on their heads and means of livelihood. Parivartan played a pivotal role in rehabilitation of those poor victims. Parivartan not only provided rations, food and monetary assistance but also helped in getting aid from the government. Volunteers of Parivartan helped victims in paperwork required for claiming the aid from various government agencies. This special drive continued until March 2020, wherein many families either shifted back to their homes or with relatives.

Parivartan not only looked after their basic needs but also emotional needs. Psychological counselling was provided them to cope up with the agony which they had faced. Students were also extended help so as they don't loose out their academic year. Parivartan is still working round the clock and distributing food, water and medicines. The efforts of Parivartan have been lauded by many officials of government agencies.
